First attempt was good, learning curve applies. I think I should have upped the spices and cooked down the broth a bit more. I like the stick blender, easier and less messy than blender or food processor. The rice cooker function rocks!

Well that that goes back to my original point. I know how to use a grill, pots and pans. The oven. If I had to use a blender I'd go nuts. But it isn't because I can't cook, and don't like some food. I'm probably pickier than Jim ... just about different things.

I don't like chicken or pork, much at all. And I can't stand pizzas loaded with crap. Extra cheese and pepperoni. I DO eat veggies though. Love shrimp, lobster and crabs legs. But there are very few fish I will eat. Steak. I cook a mean roast.

And I ain't ever needed any gadget. And I never had the time to use them if I had them.

Have you lost your freakin' mind, woman? Not cooked over the coals? Quickest way to ruin a steak is cook it on a stove. Steak don't have no flavor from a stove top, and it's mushy and greasy in the oven.

Y'all shouldn't be allowed to touch a kitchen. Geez...

Over the coals, yum. On the coals? No thanks. Works on corn in husk, but can't think of anything else.

Vernacular. Of course I don't put the meat directly ON the coals. Don't think I'd want to eat THAT myself.

Corn and baked potatoes work in the coals but you wrap them in foil. You can wrap almost any veggies in foil and do that.

LMAO. I usually just cook that in a pot. Some veggies (like asparagus) have to be cooked in water or steam. Not sure the dry heat of a grill would make it tender.
