i had no idea how to upload photos to the forum. I think all i had to do was make a comment?? also I tried to upload a video but no go. it was an AVI format. so i guess that's out.

You can upload a photo when making any post, by scrolling underneath the posting area and going to 'manage attachments'. Alternatively, you can upload photos to a free 3rd party hosting site to manage photos.

Another good one is http://tinypic.com/

Videos are not able to be uploaded here as you saw. But I believe you can just go to Youtube and upload, even as a free member, no?

'manage attachments' does not work i used the attachment tab just above the image and media icon. but i think tiny pic is the way to go

got myself an inexpensive (cheap)camcorder that also take pics.
