Mr. P ... love the hummer. I have Costas here ... 2 females (Mama and Kate) and 2 males (Pete and Rudy). They are my long term guests. Every now and then we have visitors and the backyard gets pretty hectic and we lost a female visitor on Sunday. In the fight over feeder she flew into our patio door and it was instantaneous. Very sad moment because grandson was here and was so excited to see them and he thought it was one of my regulars.

I have photos but they are nowhere near as stunning as the one you have here.

Welcome back. Great picture, I have always been interested in hummingbirds as they are my favorite of all birds.
At our old house we always had feeders out and they came. So far here at the new house, they havent came to the feeders.'-Tyr

Thanks Sassy, I am glad you like the pic.

No Costas in this part of the country. The Ruby-throated (female in pic) is very common here.

Where are you Tyr? I forgot. Here hummingbirds have pretty much all migrated south for the winter.

I am in our new house, about 10 miles east of Memphis TN.. Out in the hills, forest/wooded area and enjoying Nature away from the city bustle and hustle.
