I had a wire-haired Dachshund That understood the concept. We would take turns chasing each other through the house until one of us hid. His turn he would back up into the corner under the dining room table and stay there until I looked right at him and said "there you are" and he would take off running again. I could walk by or call him and he wouldn't move or make a sound. Same dog that brushed himself. He put his brush in the middle of the living room floor and then rolled over on his back to push himself across the brush. He was a brilliant little dog.
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
    Samuel Adams
