Default One of my favorite quotes

Headed to New England this weekend (New Hampshire to be exact- Hi, @CSM!) and it reminds me of one of my all-time fave quotes:

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot

I agree Abbey! Fall is the one season I truly love. I drove to Flagstaff a couple weeks ago, a bit early. Hoping to visit there again tomorrow, but they've already gone below freezing a couple times at night. Hoping the leaves hung on.

I think what I love about Fall is that there's no 'guarantee' of a show. In the past I've seen spectacular falls when weather and dry spells, followed by quick freeze just painted our world. Then have seen super wet, followed by super windy just blow leaves off the trees and nothing. In any case, the beauty of the displays are quick lived-literally here and gone.

Where at in NH? It is going to be a bit rainy (or snowy) dependent upon where you go.

You can never go wrong with Eliot quotes--such wisdom...-Tyr

All the learnin' my father paid for was a bit o' birch at one end and an alphabet at the other. George Eliot

Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love. George Eliot

It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses we must plant more trees. George Eliot

The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us, and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone. George Eliot

There is no despair so absolute as that which comes with the first moments of our first great sorrow, when we have not yet known what it is to have suffered and be healed, to have despaired and have recovered hope. George Eliot

18 U.S. Code § 2381-Treason Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Great quotes. The "agony of parting" one really resonates.

It was a rather apt quote for the situation.

I don't think he's any stranger to the activity. He'd probably give Petey and Bully a run for their money.
