    Default Rogue advertising

Someone asked me about this and I realized I should have mentioned this earlier.

Should you visit the site, and then mysteriously find yourself just redirected or pushed off to another site - it's bad advertising and not because DP is infected in some manner.

The advertisements you see at the top and bottom of the site are driven by Google and mostly Flash based. While they aren't supposed to, some sneak through the process and they will redirect you.

Not sure if this is related to the "denial of service" that I got earlier, but it is interesting. Especially if you live on the east coast.

While it never hurts to inform members, and let them read about ongoing issues - that article wouldn't be related at all.

The issue here, if there is one at all, is that an add runs at the top of the board, and then at the end it redirects you to another website.

A DDOS attack is when multiple, as in thousands and thousands of "requests" will be made to a particular IP address or website, and as a result of so many requests, the machine receiving the requests will get rendered useless when it gets so bogged down and eventually can't handle so many requests.

Thanks for the clarification. More proof of how little I know about how the internet works.
