Woke up. Could not go back to sleep. So I wrote this dark piece.--Tyr

    poet's notes

(nightmares, monsters and this evil world's other dark gifts)
    rhyme-(12/12)

Ravenous Wolf Will Not Thy Appetite Thee Sate

    sate-
    sate1
    sat/
    verb
verb: Sate; 3rd person present: Sates; past tense: Sated; past participle: Sated; gerund or present participle: Sating

satisfy (a desire or an appetite) to the full.
"sate your appetite at the resort's restaurant"
supply (someone) with as much as or more of something than is desired or can be managed.

Ravenous Wolf, Will Not Thy Appetite Thee Sate

Monster, from what black demonic lair, does thee hail
with thy razor claws and malignant odor smell?
Deafening, thy blasting that fear inducing sound
racing up from thy beastly estate underground!

Ravenous wolf, will not thy appetite thee sate
with thy piercing fangs buried deep in this dream state?

Monster, when will thee tire of this sad, morbid game
gnash and rip me to shreds, erase my cursed name?
Come now my foe. Let us fight just this one last fight
finally, thy wicked hide, i can burn this night!

Ravenous wolf, will not thy appetite thee sate
with thy piercing fangs buried deep in this dream state?

Monster, thee hast lost, when thy fear holds no power
for this night, thy defeat comes in the midnight hour.
Will thy evil howls turn into screams of defeat
as thy crushed carcass lays at this true victor's feet?

Ravenous wolf, will not thy appetite thee sate
with thy piercing fangs buried deep in this dream state?
