Default Who will "blink"? Putin? Or Trump?

    The smooching is over.

Trump already appears to be realigning his approach to Putin in Syria, and perhaps elsewhere.

    BUT !!

The U.S. has now conducted serious infrastructure-degrading military operations in Syria under President Trump's command.

Will Putin force a confrontation? Get one of his planes shot down?

Or some other -knock this off my shoulder- provocation that could be escalated?

If that or any other reason results in escalation:

    will it escalate?

    If it escalates, how far?

A navy battle in the Mediterranean?

    Worse?

Who will "blink"? Putin? Or Trump?

Or will it simply result in global thermonuclear annihilation of the human race?

    Right.

    That's months old news.

The Obama administration's Secretary of State Kerry worked on that, so there wouldn't be any "accidents" with the U.S. shooting down Russian aircraft, or vice versa.

That's not what this topic is about.

This topic is about the whose great big titanic wee wee is bigger contest between Trump & Putin.

And the underlying principle of this topic is:

the human race could be extinguished simply because one or both of these dudes is too egotistical to save the human race,

and would rather perpetrate ultimate genocide, rather than admit they're wrong, or "show weakness".

In that regard (candidly) I consider them two peas in a pod.

petey. Since most of your posts here are intended to convince the rest of us, how much of an expert you THINK you are on almost every topic.
Why don't you tell us what your expertise in such matters might be?

Once again. Sounds like you have a fetish on the President's Pee Pee. (wee wee) Wanna talk more about how you know about that kind of stuff too?

"......another point. Jack Keane, the military guy — the former general who is now a strategy analyst at Fox — kept saying (paraphrased), “This is so limited.

What we did last night, this is a limited attack!” He said, “It sounds like a lot, 59 Tomahawks.” But the Russians were alerted, by the way.

There were Russian troops there. It’s called a confliction notice. In intergovernmental language, it’s called a confliction notice and basically… We didn’t call Putin.

We sent word to the Russian troops on the ground that it’d be wise if you guys hightailed it. They had plenty of time to get out of there so that there were no Russians harmed.

...It’s more like a heads up. “We’re coming. You’d better get out of the way.” It’s not asking permission of anybody. It simply says, “If you’re Russia, and if you’re on the ground in this area, we’re coming.”

The military target was the chemical weapon stocks, and General Keane said, “This is limited. This is very, very limited. It sounds like a lot of Tomahawks, but the target is very limited. There’s no reason to be having an overreaction to this,” and Nikki Haley just said the same thing, that this was essentially a very light response compared to what we could do if we had to do it again."
