Default Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather

Floyd is gonna come out of retirement and put his 49-0 record online against the multiple weight UFC champion. It's at the T-Mobile arena in Vegas on August 26th. It's entirely boxing rules though, so I predict a Mayweather win myself.

I think this is one of the biggest scams ever pulled over on the world of athletics. From what I have read, this is being done entirely from the financial angle. Mayweather is going to bank nine figures and gets to fill the support bouts with fighters signed to him. McGregor will get paid about $20 million to be the fall guy. Which he will accept since he is pretty much brain dead anyway.
Idiots will pay $200 or more for about 10 minutes or so of whatever the two camps decide to do.
All the Nigeria scammers will be unhappy that they have to work a lot harder to bilk people out of their money.

Nope, McGregor is slated to get about $100 million for this fight!!!

Mayweather will get between 200-300 million.

And yups, it IS all about the money.

Yup he was. I don't know if Floyd thinks this will be an easy route to 50? I think it should get an asterisk, but it's fully sanctioned and will be an official fight.

The report I saw listed McGregor's take as $20 million. Which is more than he has earned in all his previous MMA bouts combined.
The bozo who runs MMA seemed very pleased that his organization is getting a shot at "legitimacy."
I can't believe they aren't working Holly Holm or Ronda Rousey in there someplace. Perhaps one of them can do a mud wrestling match with Stephanie McMahon.

Mayweather, McGregor Set For Record Paydays

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor probably won’t turn out to be a very good fight, but both athletes will leave the ring a lot richer than they entered the bout. The boxing great and UFC’s biggest star are expected to earn nine figures for one night’s work on Aug. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Neither Mayweather nor McGregor has been very shy when discussing his finances in the past, though that will change somewhat in regard to the upcoming super fight. The exact amount of money that Mayweather and McGregor will make won’t be disclosed because of a confidentiality agreement.

    ....

But even with the silence by Mayweather and McGregor since they came to an official agreement, it isn’t that difficult to estimate a ballpark figure for the two fighters. UFC president Dana White wouldn’t give a breakdown of McGregor’s purse, but he did tell TMZ that he expected McGregor to make around $100 million.

Because McGregor is under contract with UFC, the company will have to take a chunk of the final earnings. As the “A-side,” Mayweather will garner more than half of the final purse. If McGregor is going to make around $100 million even after UFC takes their cut, that means Mayweather is due to make well over $200 million.

You'd get excited over Bingo at an old folk's home if a star's name was attached.
