    You gotta wonder...

Daily Caller is reporting this evening that Wasserman Schultz planned on leaving Imran Awan on payroll if he had made it to Pakistan:

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/07/29/wa...rce=site-share

Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz seemingly planned to pay cyber-probe suspect and IT aide Imran Awan even while he was living in Pakistan, if the FBI hadn’t stopped him from leaving the U.S. Monday. Public statements and congressional payroll records suggest she also appears to have known that his wife, a fellow IT staffer, left the country for good months ago — while she was also a criminal suspect.

In all, six months of actions reveal a decision to continue paying a man who seemingly could not have been providing services to her, and who a mountain of evidence suggests was a liability. The man long had access to all of Wasserman Schultz’s computer files, work emails and personal emails, and he was recently accused by a relative in court documents of wiretapping and extortion.

Records also raise questions about whether the Florida Democrat permitted Awan to continue to access computers after House-wide authorities banned him from the network Feb. 2. Not only did she keep him on staff after the ban, but she also did not have any other IT person to perform necessary work that presumably would have arisen during a months-long period, according to payroll records.

One of the earlier DC stories is getting bumped quite a lot this evening:

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/02/21/co...cted-fugitive/

House Dem IT Staffers Owed Money To Hezbollah-Connected Fugitive

    LUKE ROSIAK
    Investigative Reporter
    10:24 PM 02/21/2017

Congressional aides suspected of criminally misusing their access to House computer systems owed $100,000 to an Iraqi politician who is wanted by U.S. authorities and has been linked to Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Middle Eastern terrorist outfit.

Imran Awan and four of his relatives were employed as information technology (IT) aides by dozens of House Democrats, including members of the intelligence, foreign affairs and homeland security committees. The aides’ administrator-level IT access was terminated earlier this month amid a criminal probe by U.S. Capitol Police of a suspected security breach, including an off-site server housing congressional data.

The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has reported that while working for Congress, the Pakistani brothers controlled a limited liability corporation called Cars International A (CIA), a car dealership with odd finances, which took–and was unable to repay–a $100,000 loan from Dr. Ali Al-Attar.

    ...

Brothers Imran, Abid and Jamal Awan, as well as their wives Natalia Sova and Hina Alvi, were all on the congressional payroll.

Not long before the indictment, Pakistani-born Virginia resident Nasir Khattak, who co-owned CIA with Abid, still had access to some bank accounts holding Attar’s assets.

Khattak was a realtor, and with Attar’s permission, “acquired the money through adjustments to the accounts that he controlled as the realtor for al-Attar,” court documents say.

Abid managed CIA’s daily operations, even though he was also employed full time running computers for representatives that have included Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri, Tammy Duckworth of Illinois and Yvette Clark of New York. But the car dealership was hemorrhaging money. Customers were often shown cars borrowed from a dealership next door.

“It was very bad record-keeping in Cars International … it is close to impossible to make any sense out of all the transactions that happened,” Khattak said in court documents.

CIA’s finances interwove with the House’s. A car-dealing associate who was owed money by the brothers, Rao Abbas, was placed on the congressional payroll.

Khattak said CIA was a “family business” and by 2010 Imran was its primary manager instead of Abid.

Abid Awan filed for personal bankruptcy in 2012 because the dealership was in his name, listing $1 million in liabilities. Bankruptcies are a major security red flag in background checks for employees in sensitive positions.

    ...
The investigations regarding Trump and 'Russia, Russia, Russia,' have been going on a long time now, without coming up so far with anything of substance regarding collusion. Granted, there's smoke, but a source has yet to be identified.

Now with this? It seems flames are everywhere and have been for a long time...

Default Awan had access to all of Congress — sold secrets?

I see no proof of anything being sold to foreign agents. But it wouldn't surprise me to find out in the end that this was the case. And Wasserman was WAY to comfy in allowing this guy and his family to do as they please. And then seemed to want to continue things with him, even though the shit was already hitting the fan. So maybe no sales, but something is still way wrong here.

BOOM! Imran BOOM! Imran Awan Had Access to Email of Every Member of Congress — SOLD SECRETS to Foreign Agents

Imran Awan Had Access to Email to Every Member of Congress — SOLD SECRETS to Foreign Agents!

Imran Awan worked for Debbie Wasserman Schultz for thirteen years since she came into office in 2004 as a Florida representative. She only fired him this past week and would have kept paying her “IT expert” even when he was living in Pakistan.

Three Pakistani brothers who managed the IT affairs for several Democratic government officials were relieved of their duties in February on suspicion that they accessed specific computer networks without permission, also known as hacking.

Imran Awan, who started working for Wasserman Schultz in 2005, received $164,600 in 2016, with close to $20,000 of that coming from Wasserman Schultz.

His brother Jamal, who started working as a staffer in 2014, was paid $157,350.12 in 2016. Abid, who started working in 2005, was paid $160,943 in 2016.

Imran’s wife, Hina Alvi, who was employed as a staffer since February 2007, was paid 168,300 in 2016. Rao Abbas was paid $85,049 in 2016.

Similar to other stories, other than the fact that she has been asked to testify. Let's see if she has an issue with doing so.

Yup, no doubt, sadly. But the facts are all there to see. Most won't admit it, but the non-stop crap like that about Hillary is the main reason she was done in. No one wanted a crook in there, a liar, someone who was 100% busted for the email fiasco, and lied the entire time about it.

    Indeed.

However, she DID prove quite capable of rigging the moonbat primaries to deep-six Bernie. She was good at that.

Default Wasserman Schultz Says Laptop She Sought To Keep From Police Was Awan’s, Not Hers

Wasserman Schultz Says Laptop She Sought To Keep From Police Was Awan’s, Not Hers

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz never actually saw the computer she fought to block the Capitol Police from examining as evidence in a criminal case against her IT aide by saying it was hers, she told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Thursday.

She threatened “consequences” on May 18 for the chief of the Capitol Police unless the laptop was returned — despite police contending it was needed to help determine whether a staffer may have violated the House’s cybersecurity.

“This was not my laptop. I have never seen that laptop. I don’t know what’s on the laptop,” she said Thursday. She said it was Imran’s laptop but purchased using taxpayer funds from her office.

After the exchange with Capitol Police Chief Matthew Verderosa, Wasserman Schultz fought to block access to the laptop so vehemently that she hired an outside law firm to argue constitutional issues, an exceedingly rare step.

The Awan breach on Capitol Hill gets murkier and leads to more questions
    By Sara A. Carter

    September 14, 2017 06:51 PM EDT

On April 6, at midnight, in a small room once used as a phone booth on the second floor of the Rayburn House Office Building, a Capitol Hill Police Officer doing his security rounds discovered evidence that will possibly reveal one of the the biggest security breaches involving House Democrats by the Awan family, a group of entrusted IT staffers, according to court records, police reports and news reports.

In the small room, the U.S. Capitol Police found a laptop computer registered to Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, a Florida Democrat and former DNC chairwoman. Wasserman-Schultz had been fighting authorities for months to return the laptop, that she once claimed was not hers.

What's more concerning, say senior House officials who spoke to Circa, is that Imran Awan was also allegedly transferring files - including documents and emails - of House Democrats to a secret server connected to the less secure House Democratic Caucus. The organization was then chaired by Rep. Xavier Becerra, who left Congress in January after being sworn in as the Attorney General of California.

The Daily Caller's Luke Rosiak was the first to break the story and last week Rosiak reported Wasserman Schultz's IT staffer, now indicted Awan, is believed to have planted her laptop in the Rayburn office room, along with his Pakistani ID card, copies of his driver’s license and his congressional ID badge. Awan also left behind letters to the U.S. attorney.

Awan apparently wanted the evidence discovered, according to a Capitol Hill police report on the matter.

    ...

The House official told Circa that Awan was also allegedly uploading "terabits of information to dropbox so he was possibly able to access the information even after he was banned from the network." The official said there is a need for a full congressional investigation on the matter.

"I think this may lead to information as to who really accessed the DNC server - everybody talks about Russia - but look at the access (Awan) had and potentially those emails could have been sold," the House official added.

Police informed Becerra that the server was the subject of an investigation and requested a copy of it. Authorities considered the false image they received to be interference in a criminal investigation, the senior official said.

    ...

"This could potentially be one of the largest security breaches involving members of Congress," said a former U.S. official, who is familiar with the investigation. The official spoke on background as they were not authorized to speak on the record.

"It has all the hallmarks of blackmail, spy craft - it's hard to believe that this is plain old bank fraud," the former U.S. official said. "There is enormous concerns that they accessed information that could potentially put congressional members at threat of being blackmailed."

    ...

Congressman Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican, believes Alvi may have cut an immunity deal. He said in a Fox News interview this week that he believes Alvi’s decision to return to the United States from Pakistan may be part of a larger immunity deal with federal authorities.

“I think you’re going to see some revelations that are going to be pretty profound,” said Franks. “The fact that this wife is coming back from Pakistan and willing to face charges, as it were, I think there is a good chance she is going to reach some type of immunity to tell a larger story here that is going to be pretty disturbing to the American people.”

He added, “I would just predict that this is going to be a very significant story and people should fasten their seat belts on this one.”
