Things like this speak to me - to avoid these situations. To be responsible for my sustenance and security. The only almost-impossible thing would be a fascist government because citizens haven't the tech, thanks to laws that "protect us" nor the weaponry to avoid military-grade detection.

The alternatives? Government camps where defense is impossible and folks live as prisoners at the hands of those who control their movements, food, and self-reliance.

I suppose folks with ability won't be the folks rioting/looting, etc.

There's really no good place to set a defense - if I could order about 1000 T-walls and do a proper LSA entrance leading up to a proper LSA....hrm...

I suspect, however, three people with AR15s could wreck whatever house I had because houses don't easily stop bullets. Then of course, they could simply burn my shit down.

That's why I have a boat, I figure the Great Lakes are safe. Unless the shit hits the fan during Winter, then I may have to rethink my plan.

That's why you talk to your neighbors, and have your own little secret neighbor coalition. I agree a good rifle will shoot right through a house and kill you, that's what trees are for...

But hopefully these 3 people that show up won't get the drop on you. You'll know the proverbial shit has hit the fan and you'll be expecting them, and where ever they're shooting at you from probably won't offer them any more protection than you have, so possibly you'll be able to return fire and neutralize them before they get you. Not only that, but they may have someone behind them that they're not aware of that will take them out. I know it won't be pretty, but I agree a good offense is a good defense.
