Started to watch this movie last night. First hour - hour and a half flew by. Looking foward to finishing it tonight.

We saw this last night. Other than the main characters, I had a hard time knowing which Marine they were talking about at various times. Apart from that, a very good movie.

It spurred me to look up facts about Iwo Jima, so I consider that a successful war movie. For example, I had no idea the island was only 4 miles by 2 miles!

What did you think? I saw it last night. A bit choppy but not too much.
Overall, I think it was a good movie with factual information (combined with some hollywood of course) most people don't know. I'd give it an 8 1/2 outta 10.

I liked it alot. It had a nice mix of information (didnt know that pic was the 2nd flag they flew) and hollywood story. 4 out of 5 stars from me
