The warmth, yes, but also because they are new. Cats HAVE to lie on anything new.
I brought a load of hay near the barn once and broke for lunch; when I came back to unload, 15 cats were lying on the bales. It was a little disconcerting that we had so many.

I've been trying to figure out how to send your cats at Christmas post to Himself -- we have cats. It's very cute. I think I'll just ask him to come look at it on my computer. Thanks for your Christmas card post!

I have a desk lamp in the office next to the TV that use for the tower monitor, and when I'm on that computer my cat likes to lay under that light... it's warm...typical cat.
