Does anyone on DP remember when men treated ladies like ladies, and didn't swear around them for any reason....Namely....Mom, at the dinner table??

Also, does anyone remember when Women, Ladies, Girls, Females had CLEAN MOUTH'S and didn't want, or need to constantly be in competition for swearing the dirtiest words, or use sewer words to demonstrate that they WEREN'T REALLY LADIES????

Yep... I never swore in front of my parents even as an adult. I remember slipping the F bomb a time or two and I was embarrassed. But GI's do use it a lot, so it was hard to keep that under wraps. But I did because I loved and respected my folks, and they never talked like that either. In fact, my Dad was 85 when he passed, and my Ma is still kickin' at 89, and I honestly can't recall either of them EVER saying fuck. I really long for the old days sometimes.
