MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Russia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) made a decision at its meeting on Tuesday to register incumbent head of state Vladimir Putin as a candidate for Russian president. He takes part in the 2018 election as an independent candidate.
"To register Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin," the commission said in its resolution.

A certificate of the registered candidate was received on behalf of Putin by Sergey Kabyshev, head of the legal department of his election team. According to the commission’s member Alexander Klyukin, 232 signatures of the 314,837 submitted to the CEC had been found to be invalid. "No falsified signatures have been identified," he stressed.
Putin became the third registered presidential candidate. LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Pavel Grudinin nominated by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation were earlier registered as presidential candidates. They did not have to collect voter signatures in their support, as they were nominated by parliamentary parties.
Candidates from non-parliamentary parties had to submit at least 100,000 voter signatures and no more than 105,000 voter signatures to the Central Election Commission and independent candidates - at least 300,000 signatures.
Five more presidential contenders are awaiting the commission’s decision on the registration. They are Grigory Yavlinsky (the Yabloko party), Boris Titov (the Party of Growth), Sergey Baburin (the Russian National Union party), Ksenia Sobchak (the Civil Initiative party) and Maxim Suraikin (the Communists of Russia).

I'll spot you any amount of money Putin wins.

When he wants to win, he wins, regardless.

    Default Balu....

Playing GOTCHA like our Democrat liars here in the USA does you no good.

Dates don't matter. Putin was just as crooked in 2012, as he is today.

You'll see. When you have to salute him, and PRAISE him for his fairness in the election.

I hate to be the spoiler here, but since i'm so freakin' good at it ...

Remember not too long ago when Putin was snubbing Obama and we thought it was a hoot? Just a thought.

Showing us the SAME post a second time. Hoping for a different outcome, or result is a sign of INSANITY.
Albert Einstein is broadly credited with exclaiming
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”.

It truly doesn't make a difference that there's truly no proof that Einstein really put forth this expression; it's still an awesome quote!

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov expects no increase in cyber security threats in the run-up to the 2018 presidential elections in Russia.
He said that Russia has always paid special attention to information security.
"I would not link any increase in (cyber) threats with the election day. The Russian Federation and its state bodies in particular have always been a tempting target, so this would be a standard situation for us rather than a special event," Nikiforov said in an interview with Rossiya 24.
The minister added that although new threats emerge regularly, new security features are also being developed on a regular basis.
Mikhail Oseyevsky, the president of the Russian telecom holding Rostelecom, earlier said that his company, together with Russian security services, was preparing to repel possible attacks on video surveillance system at polling stations during the March 18, 2018 presidential election in Russia.

I'll take all bets right now, Putin wins.

It ain't how many votes someone gets that matters, it's who's counting the votes.
