Playing GOTCHA like our Democrat liars here in the USA does you no good.
Dates don't matter. Putin was just as crooked in 2012, as he is today.
You'll see. When you have to salute him, and PRAISE him for his fairness in the election.
I love to make Liberals Cry, and Whine.
So, this is for them.
GOD BLESS AMERICA - IN GOD WE TRUST !
Since that time there must be court cases should the violation of legislation took place and there must be proofs that Putin was directly involved in any falsification. Have you ever heard about such cases? Have anybody succeeded to posses such data and handover it to Western Mass Media?

I remember some fuss during that campaign. There were some attempts to claim for false counting, but the observers were not able to grant video reports, only words, as their candidate got too few votes. The reaction is understandable but it could not be taken into account.

Oh, no!
There is a procedure to provide the claims to the commission of a higher level where all the claims are considered. In case there are serious violations or discrepancies the results on a certain particular polling station may be declared void. There was one such a case.
But what does Putin have to do with this if everything is done according to the current legislation?

"The social contract exists so that everyone doesn’t have to squat in the dust holding a spear to protect his woman and his meat all day every day. It does not exist so that the government can take your spear, your meat, and your woman because it knows better what to do with them." - Instapundit.com
It sounds funny for me as we don't have an analog of your FARA.
I really respect Putin's qualities. He is very strong intelligence officer , who are generally known and famous as good analytics. To my mind he is too soft in some aspects, but, first, it is, may be, his manner to conduct deals and second, he has much more info than me to make these or those decisions. I traced all the steps of his political career and can tell for sure that he got THAT personal experience which enables him to fulfill his mission the most professional and beneficial way in all the fields of his activity. I can not tell the same about Medvedev. I think that Sergei Ivanov could be better.
And I hope that after elections, when by Constitution the Government will be changed, we will have another Prime Minister. His level of authority in Russia is rather low among Russians. So, soon will see who will be proposed to Parliament to be appointed as Prime Minister.
