The Syrian region of Ghouta is experiencing another round of bombardment ahead of a pro-government military offensive.
Early Wednesday, sources showed heavy bombing by government-backed aircraft and artillery in a town in Eastern Ghouta.
The town of Mesbra was the site of the most recent attack as Syrian forces attempt to cut Ghouta in two.
Fighting has been going on for weeks, and has taken the lives of over 700 civilians.
The overwhelming use of force combined with seemingly indiscriminate bombing has caught the attention of many humanitarian organizations as attempts to bring in food and aid have been largely unsuccessful.
Officials at the United Nations have renewed their desire for a 30 day cease fire in an effort to evacuate civilians and give aid to those who stay.

Last week, Russia and Syria clashed with the U.S. and its western allies over responsibility for the failure of a 30-day ceasefire to take hold in Syria.
“First and foremost we need humanitarian access and then we need all parties to this conflict to respect the lives, I would even say the survival of civilians,” urged Filippo Grandi, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. “This has to be done very, very urgently. There is no more time to wait.”
A humanitarian convoy was able to reach the besieged eastern suburbs of Damascus on Monday, but aid workers were forced to halt delivery of supplies due to security concerns.

You got to love these people. They want a war without bodies. How leftist of them. Not to mention naive and dumb. War kills people. Good reason to not have them.

However, if there IS a war, lefties should have their mouths duct taped for the duration. They cost more lives with their bullshit than just getting on with it does. Might as well duct tape up the politicians while at it.

Better yet, stick bayonets in the hands of the politicians and let THEM fight the wars. Bet there won't be as many.
