GOP Senator Marco Rubio says California does not have a right to disregard federal laws on immigration.
During an interview Wednesday, the Florida senator said he has pushed back on federal overreach on topics like education, but immigration policy is purely a federal function.
Rubio said this would be the equivalent of California signing a treaty with China without any regard to U.S. foreign policy. He said all states need to follow federal law.
“If you don’t agree with a federal law, that’s why you have two senators and in California, you know, dozens of members of Congress come up here and change the law or try to change the law, but, you have to follow the law –it’s just that simple,” stated Rubio. “States are not countries, they have their own jurisdiction under the Tenth Amendment in our Constitution under certain matters, but on something like national security and immigration, that is a federal topic and they have to follow federal law.”
Senator Rubio said he is glad to see Attorney General Jeff Sessions upholding immigration laws in California, which has no right to ignore federal mandates.

I agree with Rubio.

This is about the 4th article I've seen/posted on laws this afternoon. Where is Congress addressing DACA? All the other junk is just swell if you really care, but where'd DACA fall off the table?

Congress does not have to let this go through the courts. They can legislate the court out of relevance. Guess the Dems are just praying. About all they can hope for. It cannot be found Constitutional with any regard for current law.
