The White House is freezing $200 million worth of funds for recovery efforts in Syria, as the U.S. reevaluates its role in the war-torn country.
A U.S. official verified the State Department will put a hold on the funds Friday, as the fight against ISIS has reached an impasse.
Departing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson pledged the money back in February, but the president is revisiting America’s role in Syria.
The Pentagon says ISIS has lost nearly 95 percent of its territory, but little progress has been made on the remaining five percent.
Officials fear ISIS will take advantage of the pause in fighting to re-group, raising concerns about its potential re-emergence.

Good. Now make it clear everyone re-focuses on ISIS or WE are out. Damned sure don't need to be funding Syria, Russia and Hezbollah in Assad's civil war.
