Default I Never Ran Into Cases Like This

An odd and different situation. No place I worked Search and Rescue had a concern such as this.
I did get some where clothing was left on a beach; a car stuck in the sand; abandoned or unmanned
watercraft; life ring or life jacket afloat; bait box afloat - and a few others

Most all appeared to be simple neglect such as a boat not tied up correctly, too lazy
to go back for something that fell overboard or did not see it go over.

Common theme is if someone was aware of it, they did not bother to call us to tell us
or other authorities the thing was gone. Thus searches were mounted.

Those wasted searches cost the taxpayers a lot.

I have lost my mind. If found, please give it a snack and return it?

    A Deplorable!
