Default If you like football played the right way, say farewell to the best

Kam Chancellor steps away from the game after a neck injury.

In my life as a fan I have never seen quite the display of power and athleticism Kam showed. In the modern era No other at his position did what he did. He Caused the NFL to change rules. Kam changed the game.

This - Kam makes Vernon Davis forget who his parents are.

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

    Bye Cam

Mike Wagner, Dick Anderson, Jake Scott ... Chancellor was just "another".

Rules were changed for because of Lester Hayes. Not necessarily an admirable thing. He was/is a POS.

Kam was better than those three. Kam changed the game. Kam is the reincarnation of Kenny Easley. But hit harder.

No he wasn't. He was good in his era. 'Bout it. Charlie Waters would have killed him. In one play.

I think you're living with 'golden age' filters.

    6'1" 193lbs.

    6'3" 235lbs.

Kam would have destroyed him. Kam would destroy him to the point Charlie would implode and turn into a black-hole that consumes not only Charlie but three generations of the men in his family.

Physics, man. Physics. Charlie played in an era with few safety rules. Kam destroyed wills to live in an era where offensive players can be nearly untouchable.

No rules were changed because of Kam Chancellor. At best, his bandwagon, pom-pom boys think he was the greatest thing since sliced cheese.

I don't. And as far as "the Golden Era" goes? These pantywaists nowadays wouldn't make it to halftime with players from the 50s, 60s and 70s. You'd just need a good supply of body bags.
