Love my Tens ... use it on my neck and knee. Haven't had to use on back yet. I bought mine from chiropractor. Same as the one she uses in her practice. Expensive, but worth it.

I've been using Shock/Vibrate remote-control collars on my dogs. Bought them years ago, really, to ensure the dogs' safety. Once i taught them the voice commands they should listen for - the commands which mean a vibration is imminent i can use only my voice and rarely have to vibrate. I've shocked them a few times - once, for example, Meatball was running full sprint (well, a sprint from HER perspective) towards a horse. Not going to let that happen - meatball disregarded my verbal command so I gave her a 1 second shock. She hit the brakes hard and came back.
Their safety is worth the risk of people looking at me as a bad pet-dad. Their safety is of paramount importance.
“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

“You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick", and "Colin." Need I say more?” - Chris Rock
Years ago we had a black lab rotweiller mix named Bear that loved to wander off and too many times to count I would get calls to come get him. We put electrical wire along our fencing around three sides of property and put in an invisible fence across the driveway that worked with a shock collar to warn him when he was getting close to fence.
Worked good most of time ... but when he saw something that excited him he would run right through it (weighed 120 lbs). We couldn't max it out because we had mini schnauzer (weighed 12 lbs) on it as well.
When Bear decided to eventually come home he would not be as excited and would just mosey on down the driveway and then refused to cross the fence. So during these times we received calls from neighbors to shut the dog up because he would sit at end of driveway and bark to let him back inside.
We finally fenced in the front of property and put in electric gate to access property. That didn't settle him down because he would jump fence. My hubby was deployed for awhile and I asked him frequently if I could have him neutered. Nope, not going to do that!
Well, within a week after he got home Bear lost his wanderlust ... it only took three times of hubby getting up in middle of night to go get his dog before he was neutered!
