    Default Favorite Cheeses

Away from politics, and a bit of whimsy.

    What are members favorite cheeses?

I like Cheddar, especially Tillamook Sharp or Smoked.
Then, Longhorn Cheddar, and Colby Jack. A sharp Swiss
    is nice, too.

Dad used to get Limburger...stinks to high heaven,
but tastes great. I cannot find it up here in this
    remote region...
I have lost my mind. If found, please give it a snack and return it?

I like goat cheese, especially if it is coated in peppercorns.

    Also creamy Brie.

And a strong Pecorino-Romano on my pasta.

Pepper jack, horseradish cheddar, gouda, provolone, brie, white cheddars ... and a whole slew of specialty types .. too many to list here. Not a fan of really hard or sharp flavors.

We have a cheese plant right here in town so I get fresh cheese all the time, and my uncle taught how to make cheese world wide, and my grandpa on my mother's side ran a cheese plant for years. The cheese plant here in town is... https://www.meistercheese.com/ I usually hit their store every other Friday or so because Friday is when they put out their fresh curd, and if you've never tried curd you're really missing out. Curd is my favorite cheese, then Longhorn Colby cheddar, and I really like Havarti and sharp cheddars, especially aged 3 or more years. Love it when it flakes off. Found a real tasty little cheese at walmart the other day though in their deli, it was a smoked gouda, can't remember where it was from but it sure was creamy and good.

Yeah the cheese plant here in town sells lots of specialty cheeses, and their pepper jack is especially good, so is their salsa cheese, and morel mushroom. They have horseradish, and I like horseradish, maybe I'll have to try that. I mentioned in my prior post that I found a real good smoked gouda at Walmart at one of their deli counters, and it was really good.
