Default Ghost Adventures 4 Hour Long LIVE Halloween Show...

Anybody else watch that last night? They had 4 static cameras that you could watch on facebook through the whole thing. Josh Gates of Expedition Unknown fame hosted the show. It was good, and I'll tell ya, if I ever visit Vegas again, which is highly unlikely, touring that museum of haunted objects he has would NOT be on the list of things to do. He messes around with some very dark things, and I wouldn't be any part of it. Aaron has stuck with him since the very beginning. I imagine the money is very good, but he couldn't pay me enough to do that. Fun show last night though, some strange things happened, and the orb activity in one of the dolls room was off the charts.

Shit - I'm sorry to have missed it but I miss most things over here. I'll look for it hoping it's posted somewhere online

Josh Gates is fantastic on TV. Did you see his Expedition Unknown - Search for the afterlife? It was done BEAUTIFULLY.
“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

I'm sure they'll be rerunning the Ghost Adventures Special. I noticed they were reairing it immediately after it was over.

Yeah I did watch the Search for the Afterlife series. I thought he got a little side tracked a few times. I felt there was more on the show about death than actual afterlife, and I didn't get the point of drinking that leaf drug. I don't see a hallucination trip as having anything to do with afterlife. It's your brain in a frying pan. I like Josh though, there's really no one else quite like him on TV. His shows are highly entertaining.

I think the point of drinking that was to explore native beliefs about actually seeing into a different realm. He said it was the most religious/spiritual event of his life.

I liked the show because he was vulnerable. And he didn't seem to favour or color his adventures to suit a particular belief or lack-of-belief.

Ya... the realm of your own mind on psychotropic drugs...

That I found interesting. Josh is very liberal though. He's posted a thing or two on twitter that was pure leftist and got quite a bit of negative feedback. I'm sure he decided future leftist posting probably wouldn't be good for his show, because I haven't seen any lately. I do follow him on twitter. He does do lots of things I'd never do, like wondering around in jungles infested with man eating creatures, without a GUN. Course who knows, there could be armed escorts and they just never show them.

I knew he was left-leaning on some things. Even though, he seems like he'd be a good guy.

One thing that annoys me - he takes-over a lot of stuff. For instance, he's invited to fly to a dig-site. When he gets in he says "Okay, lets do it!" or "Okay clear to go!" etc as if he's running it.

Another thing - I've noticed him talking underwater to a guy who had a traditional mouthpiece scuba system - the conversation was obviously voice-over.

ABSOLUTELY, yes, bugs the crap otta me.

I also notice that where ever he goes, he ALWAYS DRIVES. He NEVER is the RIDER.

I agree he's probably a good guy, but I'd imagine he can be a little overbearing at times. Always the need to be the center of attention, he's probably a little bit of an egotist. I was actually surprised that he relegated himself to only being the HOST of the big Ghost Adventures show last night, and didn't take that over too. At the end of the program it asked on facebook live what you'd like to see happen in the last 30 minutes, and I said I'd like to see Josh go inside...
