The controversy came after State Rep-elect Ana Caroline Campagnolo (PSL-SC) asked on social networks for students in the State of Santa Catarina to watch their teachers and file complaints for partisan or ideological actions. Ana Caroline communicated that biased teachers are revolted with the election of Bolsonaro and encouraged students to film guilty teachers and send her a copy, the name of the teacher, the name of the school and city.

A polêmica veio à tona depois que a deputada estadual eleita em Santa Catarina pelo PSL Ana Caroline Campagnolo pediu nas redes sociais que estudantes catarinenses vigiem seus professores e denunciem "manifestações político-partidárias ou ideológicas".
Ana Caroline complementou que "professores doutrinadores estarão inconformados e revoltados" com a eleição de Bolsonaro, e estimulou que alunos filmassem os professores e mandassem o vídeo para ela, informando o nome do professor, o nome da escola e a cidade.
