    Default Nice FLIP...

Just pickin' around through all the STUFF here in the shop and found these two old axes I bought at an auction last year. Checked on ebay and they were going for pretty good money. So I cut the old broken handles off the ax heads and cleaned them up, took pics and put them on ebay. Paid like $15 or $20 apiece for them. The A TREDWAY & SONS is definitely Civil War era, and I imagine the Black Raven is as well. Well the Black Raven just went for $300 on ebay, and I still have the other for sale 'buy it now,' but that's what I call a great FLIP...

You are indeed lucky to find some so marked.

I found two in the woods - redwoods - that did not have any manufacturers marks.
I have lost my mind. If found, please give it a snack and return it?

Well word to the wise, pard, you ever run into any old "embossed" axes, BUY 'EM.

I'd never seen them before myself, didn't know they even existed.
