Default How to be a Climate Thinker

Philosophy teaches us HOW to think.

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

Some of what he says is reasonable. The marriage of politics and science is the problem. Basically he's just saying be a skeptic because in the past individual scientists have made poor predictions. I would always suggest not putting all your chips into one person. Why real science works is because of the peer review system. While not perfect, it's a system that has gotten us pretty advanced.
