I've always been with your granddaughter, but I've seen too many parent's cell phones go flying from a kid in stroller or basket. On the phone there's too many issues I can see happening, beyond breakage.

I did tell the son, "No electronics at dinner!" He started laughing, my mantra when they were in later school years.
