I am proud to say that two of those threads were started by me, the fifth and the eighth one as listed.
Both are in my opinion important in that they present truth and in the case of the eighth one -- Art.
The fifth one reveals truth about grave threat to all of us, which is Islam and its evil...
While the eighth one presents inspiring verses, uplifting messages about life, love, hope, surviving, mankind, writing and
the very necessary importance of Poetry in Literature and in its monumental gifting of infinite treasures to mankind.
I was instructed over 55 years ago-- that to never stop educating oneself is as important to life as is eating...
Being that knowledge is power, knowledge is hope, knowledge is beauty, knowledge is survival, knowledge is its own treasured reward.
    And that Poetry is -Hope...--Tyr

Starting with a great article, great questions, great writing, great poll..... lots of reasons why a member can use great content and get more views, even not intended.

What's TRULY IMPRESSIVE to me is when someone starts such with fantastic content, and then sustains the writing and drawing in views all by ones self. And That's what you did with your poetry thread above!

Then I decided to add up the top 10 threads I believe, and add those views together - 210,393k

And keep in mind, that section is much newer, written 99% by one person, almost double any other total from above. And again, all by thyself, and the ability to add good content, and do so again the next day - and the next, and next!!! I need like 5 years in between any writing attempts as I need to find the words inside me somehow. You do that naturally, several times daily. I wish I could do so.

    Well done, Tyr!

I write as a poet even when the words are not of poetry.
My father and grandfather both taught me this- "stay true to thyself" (I did that even in my youthful anger).
Speak from the heart and let the cards fall where they may.
Both threads are important to me . Yet the one listed as fifth in your list , I abandoned for a very great while, due to its reality and how my constant viewing/reading and recording here the atrocities, the savagery and the murdering hate this is the essence of Islam finally caused me to need relief from its negativity and infinitely deep evils!
Thus I channeled more into my poetry thread because it is about giving and hoping the poems may help some of those reading them.
Even if it helps only one person, it will have been a success, in my opinion..
As true Poetry is about truth, love, giving and expressing with heart and soul ones character and life, hopes , dreams and life as has been truly lived.-Tyr

That is my problem I pretty much can only write from my heart, and even though I am a very passionate person I can very rarely find the words to write poetry. And even the, 99% stinks. I guess you not only have to have faith in your own writing but also believe what you wrote is decent. The majority of the time that I attempt to write I will look at it shortly after and quickly erase it cuz it's horrible! But every once in a blue moon I can write something that I think is worthy. And yet even then it's still subpar in comparison. I will give you an example in a little while as I'll try as an example, show you what Happens when I rush to try and write poetry and what I call poetry is usually just short paragraphs of rhymes.

I miss Pale Rider that dude was cool as hell.

I do believe that that thread you started is also the longest-running thread ever on the board.

I just re-read a good bit of the America/Christian nation thread.
I forgot how good many of our debates used to be. And not a lot of childish insults (well, unless you include Psychoblues, lol. I don’t think the man ever made a post without a 3rd grade level insult).
Anyway, it was a great and informative thread.
