Default Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Billionaires Should Not Exist

Does she realize how stupid she is? Does anyone tell her to shut up? Does she even read the news?

I can almost understand if she personally dislikes rich people for whatever reason, but then don't come back eventually and talk stupidity. Ok, so you don't like rich people - so they "shouldn't exist"? WTF? And basically states that they shouldn't exist as they all underpay their workers to get that rich. And then points out a few major companies. Maybe this is why she stupidly killed the Amazon deal worth 25,000 jobs.

    ...

As for Bloomberg, I have mixed feelings. First off, I have no grudge that he is a billionaire. And if the law allows for it, then I have no issue with him spending his own money. But the Dems made rules in advance about the debates, and then instantly changed that when Bloomberg entered the race. And IMO, they are already trying to screw Bernie as they did in 2016. Probably for the good anyway, but that doesn't make it right.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Billionaires Should Not Exist

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that she didn’t believe that billionaires should exist.

Co-host Sunny Hostin asked, “Congresswoman, Mike Bloomberg has spent over $300 million of his own money on his campaign, and the DNC changed the rules about donor threshold to give Mike Bloomberg a space on the debate stage tonight. I personally don’t have a problem with Mike Bloomberg using his own money. I have more of a problem with his positions on — ever-changing positions on stop and frisk and redlining. Do you think he’s trying to buy his way into the presidency?”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “Yes, I do. I also think that the power of his money is not disconnected from his stances on stop and frisk because when you have that much money, and you purchase elections, you no longer have that sense of accountability to the people who voted for you.”

She added, “And here’s the thing is that If the amount of money that you have can force the DNC to change their rules, but the DNC would not change their rules for Cory Booker, Julian Castro, Kamala Harris, that is an actualization of power.”

She concluded, “And we all know how I feel about billionaires. I don’t think that in a place where 60 percent of Americans can’t even, you know, make more than $40,000 a year that the presence of a billionaire who largely makes their money off of businesses underpaying their workers like Walmart, like Amazon, like so on, should exist.”

“You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick", and "Colin." Need I say more?” - Chris Rock

Our Lefties, here in the UK, at one time were as outspoken (and occasionally still are). But, they take a more 'softly, softly' line to back that view up. What they do is to create a taxation regime designed to thieve rich peoples' money from them.

This, they were very open about in the last, recent, UK election. Corbyn's people had a highly spendthrift programme they were pushing for society, and they fully intended to tax rich people heavily in order to help fund it.

'The Politics Of Envy', I call it. They hope to tap into ordinary peoples' envy of richness, to say to people: 'Look, we'll never come up with policies that will enrich you. However, we can give you a form of 'revenge' against those who have the riches you covet. We'll rob the of their money, and make you profit in some barely perceptible manner out of our act of thievery.

Our rich often pour money into offshore funds and companies, in territories outside the taxation 'orbit' of the UK .. in places like the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey). Labour have worked to try and combat this. Because they hate prosperity.

Never mind that these millionaires and billionaires are themselves wealth creators, heads of business, generating jobs and industry. Doesn't matter, to a Leftie. No. A Leftie will very happily rob people of any incentive towards material betterment.

Ocasio-Cortez is a familiar type to me.

Right now, she stands out as freakishly 'unique'. But, I assure you: her insanity underpins the thinking of many Lefties; she's just more candid than most. Give them power, and the truth of them will come crawling out of the woodwork, and begin to do its cancerous damage. Their driving motivation is the exact opposite of any 'enterprise spirit'. 'Betterment', in any sense that any American currently understands the term, would diminish to mere traces of it in society, were Leftist 'values' to replace those which HAVE made yours an obviously great country and world leader.

Agreed. I'm far from a genius on the economy and even I know the wealthy float it. So, if AOC disenfranchises/rips off the wealthy, what then? Can do it only once. Then where do all these entitled nimrods turn for money?

I don't care for wealthy people because of their snobbery. Same time, they are the ones putting up the money and taking the risk. All of AOC's parasites sure as Hell aren't floating the government and industry with THEIR tax dollars. I sure as Hell don't see a smart pill coming along with their stolen wealth.

They/we will end up right where South Africa is. All the know-it-all, white europeans that forced the functioning government of S Africa to give it away don't seem to be too worried when the blacks now in control have legalized ripping off whites. Point is, once they were handed a country stolen by do-gooder, know-nothing international interference, they have done nothing but run through all their ill-gotten gains. Now they're broke.

I see litle difference between that and what all these dumbass, uneducated socialists here are trying to do. I doubt they're even socialists. They just don't want to go to work and earn what they get and DEFINITELY believe their existence is worth a lot more than it is.
