If I remember correctly Kimbo Was a guy who beat the crap out of all comers in illegal streetfighting until he was thrashed by a policeman( forget his name)the policeman was then signed to the UFC for one fight on the back of his victory over Kimbo, it caused a lot of controversy at the time (again I forget who he fought) I suppose I could look it up but I am a lazy bastard, anyway, the policeman got a good fucking hiding, kinda made these illegal streetfighting guys look useless.

Going off of memory, his name was Gannon The Cannon. He was a Boston policeman and still works there I believe.

That's correct, saw that fight a while back too. He didn't completely overwhelm Kimbo, but sure as hell can take a beating and keep on going. Kimbo didn't have the stamina to last against him and basically gave up at the end. No surprise about the UFC beating his as though, these guys are professionally trained, not just street fighters or thugs.
