$2k a month, indefinitely?

That's what I was reading last night that some want. Send out monthly recurring payments of $2000 to every citizen. $4k if a married couple. And yet even more for each kid you have. And not one time, this they want until everything is over. Whatever they consider that. How the hell much would THAT cost?

And I still wouldn't get shit. Once again - this time would be anyone under $120,000 yearly.

Now lemme ask a question. Someone makes $15 an hour, but is forced to stay home. They get no money. They are desperate. The government helps.

Ok, our family does well, but what if folks making more ALSO don't get paid while at home? Is it supposed to be a guarantee that such folks apparently saved enough money magically to get through all of this, for an unlimited amount of time? I understand helping the lower income folks first and have no issue with that. Not fond of getting money from the govt myself that others will have to pay for. The principle bugs me I guess. As I know many out there make more, but are in situations where they still live paycheck to paycheck.

Already have a problem for many that are collect unemployment; getting or got some money from employer when 'furloughed,' and states giving something like up to $600 per week. Many are making more being furloughed than they did working. Not good.

In fact, employers are saying that their employees don't want to return until July, when the 'extra money' is supposed to end. Ridiculous.

I got the $1200.00 check. I do not need it because I'm retired. My income didn't change because of lockdown.

So, why did I get a check?

Gave it right back to Treasury department .... I used it to pay taxes I owed for 2019.

Indeed. I'm not heartless, far from it. I've never got though how states provide SNAP, (food stamps); WIC (Women, Infant, and Children) both for food. With both there is little that is outside of 'affordable' which is not true for most working people that make 'too much' to qualify. Ok, let that go.

Now however, schools are providing breakfast and lunch for all children whose parents receive SNAP and/or fall below a certain income, like $38k for a family of 4. Indeed, for the whole 'lockdown' and summer, schools have and will continue to provide these 2 meals a day, (Used to be 5 days, now it's 7 days-they just send 3 home for Friday-Sunday). Some schools, so concerned the children do not get enough food, (though obesity is often present), are providing dinner too. Yet teachers are often buying things like paper, pencils, art supplies because the schools can't 'afford to.'

Eventually...the GOVT. (WE THE PEOPLE) will run out of money being printed, and it will become no more valuable than MONOPOLY MONEY.

I have, through my position on a school board, argued this for years. We are letting many families double dip when it comes to things like SNAP and then providing reduced price or free lunches. My God, we're giving them SNAP, they can't use some of that money to buy lunch for their kids? It's a losing battle.

And yes, we've been providing lunches through this entire thing. FREE to all children 0-18. We don't even care if you live in our district or not, and yes of course there are scum who we know are traveling between us and the next town over who's school is doing the same thing, collecting a free meal from each. But there is nothing to be done about it.

And in the end, making sure kids have food is far more important than making a point to parents who take advantage.

Seriously , I've got nothing out of this. I have a small stake in a local gun manufacturer and they took some of the payroll money, but we didn't take anything for either my farm nor our family restaurant, and we definitely make too much to qualify for any of the stimulus even with as many kids as we have.

In fact, when we closed the restaurant we wrote 43 of our 45 employees a pretty sizable personal check to help them get through this because we want them to come back to work some day.

I wish it was a parody, I was at USAMRIID as a MRV for five years where I opened
Pandora's Box, so to speak. I know why COVID but you'll have to read through my
