It's twitters prerogative. She should be suspended or banned permanently imo. I doubt what she said constitutes a crime. Nonetheless, it would be fun to see the secret service audit her ass and ruin her life investigating her.

She sent him a series of text messages encouraging him to do it. In response to these types of real-time issues in addition to a new television drama centering upon who is responsible for suicides,

I saw that on Forensic Files, or something similar. Maybe the news? Anyway ... the guy kept threatening suicide until his GF just started goading him into doing it, then supporting his desire to do it. There were a lot of taped conversations IIRC. So he finally went off in his truck somewhere and did it.
The girl was found guilty. I don't recall the specific charge but it was as Sassy says. Something akin to aiding and abetting suicide.
I'd have to see it again to recall whether or not I agreed with the verdict. On one had, yeah, she sure as Hell didn't do anything to prevent it and DID encourage it. On the other had, that's one of those thought police type judgments I'm not real comfortable with.

Just saying someone has been jailed for encouraging someone to commit suicide. You would think encouraging murder would also elicit jail time. Perhaps it's only if they actually follow through on the suggestion.

TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts woman who sent her suicidal boyfriend a barrage of text messages urging him to kill himself was jailed Monday on an involuntary manslaughter conviction nearly five years after he died in a truck filled with toxic gas.
Michelle Carter was sentenced to 15 months in jail in 2017 for her role in the death of Conrad Roy III, but the judge allowed her to remain free while she appealed in state court. Massachusetts’ highest court upheld her conviction last week, saying her actions caused Roy’s death.
Carter was 17 when Roy, 18, took his own life in Fairhaven, a town on Massachusetts’ south coast in July 2014. Her case garnered international attention and provided a disturbing look at teenage depression and suicide.
Carter and Roy both struggled with depression, and Roy had previously tried to kill himself. Their relationship consisted mostly of texting and other electronic communications.
In dozens of text messages revealed during her sensational trial, Carter pushed Roy to end his life and chastised him when he hesitated. As Roy made excuses to put off his plans, her texts became more insistent.
“You keep pushing it off and say you’ll do it but u never do. It’s always gonna be that way if u don’t take action,” Carter texted him he on the day he died.
