Recall the burning of the Library of Alexandria over 2,000 years ago, which intellectuals (myself included) mourn to this day. In the 1950s, Red China invaded Tibet and smashed thousands of Buddhist monasteries and their libraries to bits, taking with it thousands of years of accumulated knowledge, so that today there is declining wisdom in Tibet as well as the world. ISIS (Israeli Secret Service) destroyed a great many important historical sites in Syria and elsewhere in their bid to rewrite history. Further, I predict that the Library of Congress and Internet Archive will soon suffer the same fate. And our public schools having been so dumbed-down, they won't be missed.
