As in may things during WWII, the Allies/US used attrition as their primary weapon. The US could mass produce Shermans which were inferior to the Tiger. The Germans could not however match the production rate. The same applied to Germany's aircraft and pilots. The US could throw bodies at the Germans while the Germans could not replace their losses.
This doesn't take away from individual acts of bravery, heroism and almost-genius improvisation on the part of the US forces. THAT is what carried the day.
Exactly so. American forces have been exceptional ever since we defeated the Brits to form this nation.
I would bet on American military against any other force- especially so when politicians get out of the way and let military do its thing the way it wants to do it?
