Default Police Class Action In MN

Not all are at retirement status. Expect more of this in NYC, LA, Seattle, Chicago. Defund? Not going to have to, between retirements and PTSD. Though it is going to be very costly to these cities.

150 Minneapolis officers file for disability, with most claiming to suffer from PTSD

By: Kyle HicksPosted at 11:24 AM, Jul 10, 2020 and last updated 11:44 AM, Jul 10, 2020
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – More than 150 officers with the Minneapolis Police Department have started the process of filing physical and mental disability claims, with a majority saying they’re suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The law firm representing many of the officers, Meuser, Yackley, and Rowland, made the announcement Friday, saying the events following the death of George Floyd have “pushed many officers to their breaking point.” Those events include the burning of the department’s third precinct.

Retirements are increasing and will continue as long as the BS continues. And the blue flu is going around strongly. And I don't blame any of them at all.

Agreed. And crime will rise drastically.

I personally know of 2 college guys that were majoring in criminal justice-they are changing their majors. Now the likelihood of them being 'bad cops' is unlikely-quite the opposite.

What of those that are looking at police departments that aren't in the position to hire exclusively college majors or with over 4 years of military service? To do that takes money, which many departments do not have the budget for, before the 'cuts' that seem inevitable. So, those that were attracted to serving for good reasons, are not idiots and will choose differently. Even departments that were very discerning before all this, may well find they cannot attract highly desirable candidates.

We're going to find that none of this will be easy to recover from.
