Default 2021 Ford Bronco comes out kicking with impressive specs and innovative design...

Getting the urge to trade one of my Jeeps>>>
    Good interesting read with Pic`s..

We knew the 2021 Ford Bronco was going to be a big deal, but we're not sure anyone

was fully expecting this return of the legendary nameplate to be as thoroughly

comprehensive and impressive. From the SUV's specs to the innovative methods used in

    its design and
the wide-ranging marketing approach, the new Bronco demonstrates Ford

took the task most seriously. This isn't just another Ford SUV or a haphazard, me-too

    answer to a
    Jeep Wrangler....

    Powertrains

"There are two available engines, both of which put up impressive numbers. The standard 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four, shared with the Ford Ranger, produces a stout 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Then there's the heavy artillery: a 2.7-liter turbo V6 good for 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, which betters the 2.7 offered in the Ford F-150 and just about blows away every Wrangler engine"

Standard on the 2.3-liter is technically a seven-speed manual transmission, but it's not like the one you'd find in a Porsche 911 or C7 Corvette. Instead, it's effectively a six-speed manual with a crawler gear that, when equipped with the upgrade 4x4 system and its electromechanical transfer case, can achieve a crawl ratio of 94.75:1. For some comparison, the base 4x4 system with the automatic can best achieve a ratio of 57.19:1.
Speaking of the automatic, its Ford's now-familiar 10-speed that's optional on the 2.3-liter and standard with the 2.7 liter."

Four-wheel drive is standard on every Bronco, but there are two systems. The standard system features a two-speed, electronic, shift-on-the-fly transfer case with a 2.71:1 low ratio, while the optional system has a a 3:06:1 low ratio and adds a 4A mode that automatically goes between 2H and 4H when needed. This has been seen previously on other Ford trucks and SUVs.
The differentials are produced by Dana, with the rear being a Dana 44, with standard AdvanTEK units and available Spicer Performa-TraK electronic locking units."

    Much More!

I like this. Still rather have a '67. If and when my truck decides to die (had it 21 years), I've been thinking Jeep. Not that 4 door thing either. A "Jeep" Jeep. This Bronco looks good enough to look at as well.

Looks like a bastard love child between Land Rover and a Jeep Renegade.

    Road & Track

"The 2021 Ford Bronco Already Has A Few Big Advantages over the Jeep Wrangler"

The arrival of the 2021 Ford Bronco means that, for the first time in decades, the Jeep Wrangler has a true, direct competitor. And though we haven't driven the new Bronco yet, it's clear that Ford is serious about taking on the most established off-road nameplate in America.
Because when you're going up against a product as popular as the Wrangler, it's not enough to match what your competitor is already doing. You have to unseat the king. In a few key ways, it looks like Ford's done just that."

    High-Speed Stability and Steering

One of the more controversial decisions Ford made with the new Bronco was the choice to go for independent front suspension over a solid axle like the Wrangler has. It's not an unpopular design choice—in fact, now that the G-Wagen has gone to an independent front suspension, Jeep is the only one making solid front axle vehicles for the U.S. market.

But Jeep fans and hardcore off-roaders often mention that solid axles offer a lot of durability and high articulation. Articulation is the amount of vertical wheel travel relative to the body of the vehicle, with greater articulation allowing an off-roader to take on more uneven surfaces without losing contact with the ground."

But there's a reason Ford went with an independent front suspension. Solid axles are heavy, with greater unsprung weight making ride and body control more difficult. They also take up a ton of room, require a less precise steering mechanism, and often contribute to a busier ride at speed.
All of that means that the Bronco will likely maintain more composure in higher-speed off-road situations, have better steering, and be more docile on the highway when compared to a Wrangler."

    Here we go!

"Here's What the $29,995 Base Ford Bronco Gets You"

If you want to know what $29,995 actually gets you, here's what comes standard.

First thing's first, you're not getting a four-door Bronco for the under 30 large. Pricing for the Bronco four-door starts at $34,695, a sizable jump. That price also includes the base powertrain, which is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that makes 270 horsepower in this application.

Power goes to a seven-speed manual transmission with a crawler gear. All Broncos also include four-wheel drive as standard.

You'll be able to spot base Broncos by their black grilles with flat black "BRONCO" lettering. Two-door Broncos also come with the hard top, though it can be removed along with the doors. Plus, the bright polished steel wheels are a dead giveaway.
On the technology and convenience front, you're still getting an 8-inch infotainment display with Sync 4 and over-the-air updates. But you're not gonna get adaptive cruise control, heated/cooled seats, the upgraded sound system, or remote start. Seats are cloth and manually adjustable.

The little details—like the slide out cargo tray and rear bottle opener—also come on every Bronco.

Perhaps most importantly, you'll be able to option the Sasquatch Package. That's the Bronco's must-have option!"
