Default Bodycam footage of George Floyd arrest and death

Of course we have all seen the original video or portions of it more times than we can count, or at least for myself.

This is now actual footage from the officers involved. And no less disgusting than the original.

    A few photos first:

Floyd when they first approached him and they weren't happy with not seeing both hands. This is the look of fear for sure:

Bringing him towards the squad cars. This is NOT the look of anger of being arrested, nor the look of sadness of being arrested - this is the look of a man with mental issues that is literally scared to death, and more so of getting into the back of a car due to his claustrophobia and anxiety.

Lastly, a few photos of him being forced into the back of the car, and explaining to them about his issues and begging literally. I could be wrong and just my opinion, but he looks and truly responds as one scared due to his illnesses.

Police bodycam footage shows moment-by-moment arrest of George Floyd for the first time - from terror on his face when officer points gun at his head, sobbing before he's shoved into squad car and begging to breathe as his life drains away

    • WARNING: DISTURBING CONTENT
    • The terror on George Floyd's face as a rookie cop points a gun at his head while he sits in his car can be seen today for the first time
    • DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained video from the bodycams of officers Thomas Lane and Alex Kueng, who were part of Floyd's fatal arrest on Memorial Day in Minneapolis
    • Floyd died after Officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes on May 25
    • The tapes show in minute detail how Floyd begs 'Mr. Officer, please don't shoot me. Please man,' before the struggle that ended with his death
    • It also shows how Floyd resisted as the cops tried to force him into the back of the squad car, telling them he suffers from claustrophobia and anxiety
    • The video begins with Lane knocking on Floyd's car window with a flashlight and once Floyd opens the door, Lane pulls out his gun and points it at Floyd's head
    • Floyd, 46, begs him not to shoot, saying: ''I'll look at you eye-to-eye. Please don't shoot me man. I just lost my mom, man'
    • He sobs as the officers pull him out of the car and handcuff him, as his ex suggests he was undergoing mental problems and was afraid of police
    • After the struggle to get Floyd in the cop car, he is suddenly on the sidewalk with Chauvin's knee on his neck
    • Floyd says he can't breathe over and over again and calls for his 'momma' but his voice slowly gets weaker as his life drains away, even saying 'I'll probably just die this way'

Bodycam footage from two cops accused in the murder of George Floyd is revealed exclusively by DailyMail.com today — and it shows a rookie officer terrifying Floyd by pointing a handgun at his head and another callously picking a pebble from the squad car tire just inches from the dying man and seconds before he draws his last breath.

The tapes show in minute detail how a very distressed Floyd begs 'Mr. Officer, please don't shoot me. Please man,' before the struggle that ended with his death on May 25.

It also shows how belligerent cops cursed at and manhandled the sobbing suspect, ignoring his pleas for compassion.

Floyd resisted as the cops tried to force him into the back of the car, telling them he suffers from claustrophobia and anxiety and how Officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes, leading to his death, ignoring Floyd’s repeated cries of ‘I can’t breathe.’

Floyd is even heard predicting his own death. 'I'll probably just die this way,' he says.

Transcripts from the videos were released in mid-July but a judge in Minneapolis had ruled the video could only be viewed in the courthouse, meaning few people have had the chance to watch the powerful images.

But the footage has now been leaked to DailyMail.com so the world can finally see the tragedy of Floyd’s last minutes as the cops were mindless of Floyd’s anguish.

The footage includes more than 18 minutes from Officer Alex Kueng's bodycam and 10 minutes from Officer Thomas Lane. They were the first two cops to arrive on the scene after a complaint that Floyd had attempted to pass a fake $20 bill to buy cigarettes at Cup Foods, a store in the Powderhorn Park section of Minneapolis.

Some interesting updates for this story. And considering what happens in our nation AFTER this event, I think every little detail is more than important and amplified.

This article turns things around and states that George Floyd killed himself. Not suicide, but rather his own actions lead to his death. But there, at least IMO, is no doubt that the actions of Chauvin made things worse. Would he have died anyway? I say no, not even close. The initial interaction scared the bejeezus out of him.

If he was on fentanyl, which autopsy shows, his heart rate and actions would already be elevated and jittery and all over the place. Then being scared shot him into outer space, heart rate probably doubled, paranoia kicked in..... and if he does have anxiety and claustrophobia, then that only added in as well. But then on the ground and having ANY circulation cut off would be exacerbated in a person with an elevated heart rate due to drugs.

Floyd stated he was "hooping" it earlier, which apparently means sticking it up your a$$. I won't even ask. But how high was he? How much of this contributed to his own death? Will these contributing reasons make a difference at trial? And imagine what the hell happens if they ever were found not guilty or lesser than murder?

Still worst ever title for a story. Should have called it "Did Floyd contribute to his own death" IMO. And doesn't change my mind, just contributing factors.

Yes, New Evidence Shows George Floyd Killed Himself

First there was the transcript. I wrote about that on 11 July (see here). Now we have the video. Floyd was complaining of not being able to breathe at least five minutes before the police were forced by Floyd to put him on the ground. The transcript I posted on the 11th shows clear evidence that George Floyd was complaining of not being able to breath. This video provides the visual proof. George Floyd was not killed by police. He was suffering respiratory distress caused by a Fentanyl overdose. His inability to breathe had nothing to do with the neck restraint applied by the Minneapolis police.

Now we know that the entire premise of the Black Lives Matter riots was based on a false claim of police abuse. Derek Chauvin did not murder George Floyd. George Floyd, a criminal and drug addict, killed himself by ingesting a drug that Doctors use to shutdown a patient’s respiratory system.

As I noted on July 11th, the transcript exonerates the police. This is why the Minnesota Attorney General tried to keep the public from seeing the video evidence for themselves.

I am re-posting the transcript so that you can compare it with the video. The video starts with two Minneapolis Police officers approaching Floyd’s vehicle from the driver’s side. One of the officers has his pistol drawn and pointed in Floyd’s direction. However, per standard practice, his finger is not, I REPEAT NOT, on the trigger. If the finger is not on the trigger the gun will not fire itself.

Also worth noting that the police were not physically aggressive with Floyd. They did not punch him or jerk him around. Floyd, in his drugged state, was not cooperative. It is a shame that the officers who detained Floyd lacked clairvoyance or the ability to read Floyd’s mind or mentally test the chemical content of his blood. That kind of knowledge might have given them an early clue that Floyd was a dead man walking because of the toxic brew of illegal drugs he had shoved into his system.

    Here’s the link.

The incident starts with a store manager reporting that George Floyd had just given him a counterfeit bill.

The two officers (Kueng and Thomas Lane) go outside and begin the investigation by trying to get George Floyd out of his car:

Floyd was not cooperative. He was disoriented and not acting rationally. Floyd was accompanied by another black man. In contrast to Floyd, the other gentleman followed police instructions:

George Floyd was not passive nor cooperative despite media claims to the contrary. The video that fueled outrage across America tells a very misleading story. The words of the transcript are not lies.

In the next relevant bit of conversation, Floyd concedes that he passed a bad bill to the shop owner who called the police and admits he was not following police instructions.

On page 12 of the transcript we get the first evidence that Floyd is high on something and is “foaming” at the mouth. Officer Kueng is very concerned about Floyd’s erratic behavior:

Floyd claims he was “hooping” earlier. According to the Urban Dictionary, “hooping” refers to smuggling/transporting something that is inserted in one’s rectum.

Then a couple more and differing autopsies but with much the same in the end.

Police body camera footage proves George Floyd's death is not as simple as the media say it is

Read: George Floyd autopsy report, with cause of death and other factors

    https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/06/...other-factors/

Two autopsies both find George Floyd died by homicide, but differ on some key details

George Floyd, the Minnesota man who died after an officer arresting him pressed his knee onto his neck, died by homicide, according to the results of two autopsies released on Monday — one by the county medical examiner and the other by independent pathologists commissioned by Floyd's family. But the two autopsy reports differed on exactly how the man died.

Dr. Allecia Wilson, one of the pathologists who conducted the independent autopsy, said Monday afternoon that Floyd died as a result of mechanical asphyxiation.

But the report released later Monday by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office said Floyd died of "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint and neck compression." The manner of death was ruled homicide, but the office noted that "is not a legal determination of culpability or intent." A preliminary autopsy report cited earlier by prosecutors said the county medical examiner's review "revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation."

I'll add this one in as well...

And he does talk about not being able to breath and other related issues, long before they even get near the patrol car.

Tucker Carlson Discusses George Floyd Footage: ‘Citizens Have A Right To Know Why Things Are Changing So Quickly’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson discussed recently released police bodycam footage reportedly showing some of the final moments before George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody.

The footage, obtained and released Monday by British outlet The Daily Mail, purportedly shows Floyd struggling and arguing with officers before the infamous already-released footage of the Minneapolis black man laying under former officer Derek Chauvin’s knee.

“Floyd’s death has been used to justify a nationwide convulsion of violence, destruction, looting and in some cases killing — and all of that in addition to unprecedented levels of political upheaval. The wholesale reordering of our most basic institutions,” Carlson said, referring to ongoing riots and protests during Monday night’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” opening monologue. “Floyd’s death changed everything. It was a pivot point in American history. No matter what side you’re on, that’s very clear at this point.”

Carlson contended that, while “it’s striking how little we really know, months later, about how exactly George Floyd died,” the “official storyline is clear,” and questioning it has become taboo.

“The media, meantime, aren’t that curious about gathering further details, and they’re actively hostile to anyone who is,” he said. “Ask too many inconvenient unauthorized questions about George Floyd and you’ll be banned from the internet. The catechism has been written and it’s in stone: ‘George Floyd is a martyr. Period. That’s all you need to know. Shut up.”

However, the Fox News host argued that free citizens “have a right to know why things are changing so quickly.”

“On what grounds are we dismantling police departments, rewriting curriculums, firing people from their jobs?” he asked. “What exactly is the basis of the cultural revolution that we’re all now living through?”

Calling it “not a typical law enforcement interaction,” Carlson played footage from the recently released video reportedly showing Floyd being taken into custody by police before saying that it “seems obvious that Floyd is in some kind of physical distress in the video, even before police touch him.”

“And in fact, later reports showed that Floyd had a number of narcotics in his system, including more than enough fentanyl to die of an overdose,” said Carlson. “According to the autopsy, Floyd’s blood contained 11 nanograms per milliliter of fentanyl. The report then notes this, quote, ‘Signs associated with fentanyl toxicity include severe respiratory depression, seizures, hypertension, coma and death. In fatalities from fentanyl, blood concentrations are variable and have been reported as low as 3 nanograms per milliliter.'”

“One of the best-known symptoms of fentanyl overdose, by the way, is shortness of breath,” he continued before showing another clip, this one of Floyd screaming and refusing to get in the police vehicle. “In the video, Floyd complains that he is having trouble breathing, famously, but he says this long before Officer Chauvin kneels on his neck.”

“So the question is why haven’t we seen the rest of the video until right now?” the Fox News host asked rhetorically. “The video seems relevant, particularly considering all that happened next. And the answer is simple. Because Keith Ellison, the Attorney General of Minnesota, hid the video from the public.”

Carlson argued that the video would still be hidden “if it weren’t for a leak to a foreign newspaper.”
