Default Young Blacks, Not What Everyone Thinks

I've been saying that the most rational voices I've heard on the racial tensions tearing through major US cities have come from Blacks, especially preachers and some of the younger, media types.

    Seems something is going on:

SHOCKER: Democrats Losing Decades-Long Grip on Young Black Voters
BY STEPHEN GREEN AUG 06, 2020 1:56 PM EST

Young black voters have a shocking message for Democrats: We’re just not that into you.

Perhaps following the lead of Kanye West, who abandoned the Democrats years ago, younger voters have grown tired of broken promises and white Democrats’ sense of entitlement to their vote.
Writing for The Conversation, academics Sam Fulwood III and David C. Barker report that black voters “over 60 remain among the most reliable of Democratic voters, and those between 40-59 are still pretty locked in as well, those under 30 (whom we oversampled to comprise half of our sample) are anything but.”

The numbers come from their recent survey of 1,215 African American voters in key battleground states like Pennsylvania and Florida.

At our sister site RedState, Brandon Morse adds:

It would appear that the black youth in America has become disillusioned with the Democratic party’s attempts to kowtow to them, and as such, their willingness to vote for Democrats is at an all-time low. In fact, most say that they feel the Democrat party takes them for granted. It expects their vote but does nothing to earn it besides claim that it’s “less racist” than Republicans.

I would add that Trump was elected by Obama-to-Trump voters in the Rust Belt and Upper Midwest. They were largely white, working-class voters who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, but felt like he ignored their concerns once in office.

    ...

Those same younger voters told Fulwood and Barker that Democrats expect their support but don’t “do anything to deserve it other than claim to be ‘less racist’ than the alternative.”

Along that same line, Shay Hawkins wrote on Wednesday for Fox News that “White Democrats feel deeply entitled to the Black vote. This summer’s unrest has deepened that sense of entitlement, not checked it.”

Flipping that around, it might be closer to the truth that Democrats are well aware of the softening support from their most important voting bloc, and ginned up riots in order to bring black Americans back into the fold.

    Will it work?

Progressive Democrats, mostly white, have used the ongoing unrest to push defunding or even eliminating the police. Biden recently said he wants police to get more money, but given that a President Biden would likely be little more than a figurehead for the far-left progressives who have taken over the party, what Biden wants probably means very little.

However, Gallup just released numbers showing that “a large majority — 81 percent — of black Americans want the same or increased levels of police presence in their neighborhoods.”

Emphasis added, because WOW, what a losing issue for the Dems. Overall, Americans are opposed to #DefundThePolice by “only” 64%.

I watched from the beginning. I did see a lot of black protesters when George Floyd was killed, and the same with Rayshard Brooks. In both events, shortly after I did see black folks lash out via rioting or burning things. They were direct response frustrations with what just took place, IMO.

Then you have the extended protesting. Antifa. Planned and organized protesting around the nation. Fighting back against the police and aiming for police precincts. Taking to the streets to protest, with the goal of violence and destruction into the nighttime. Endless stores with broken storefronts and inventory looted. Graffiti on every last building. Organized with all kinds of protection, vests, helmets, gloves, padding, umbrellas, hazmat masks - and then using regular fireworks, and then altered or homemade explosive devices, strong lasers to aim at the eyes of police, leaf blowers to send tear gas away, molotov cocktails and complete destruction of hundreds of police squad cars, monuments destroyed.... and then onto demands.

I'd say the majority of this extended violence and fighting back against the police and the majority of all the chaos in the streets - has been by younger white folks.

I can post (but no one would watch them all) tons and tons of videos showing it's white people doing so so much damage around the country during many of these events that break out in violence. And I can post a lot of videos taken by black people showing or pointing out just that, fearing that the result would be the local black community being blamed.

Need I say more?” - Chris Rock

There are 'peaceful protesters', they tend to be around during the day. I'd say pretty close to racial percentages.

There were looters or what I'd call opportunists, but they are mostly gone now, as have the businesses. Mostly young males, more blacks than whites. Their time is past.

There are the night protesters. Some blacks, overwhelmingly white. Some are not into much politically, other than generalized anger at life. They are young. Mostly they give 'cover' to the last group, shielding them from cameras and law enforcement. Some might get caught up and toss stones, bricks, fireworks. Some of the former looters may now be part of this group.

The last group are organized and dangerous. They do not care if anyone gets hurt and are more than willing to burn police or anyone in any building to death. They are anarchists or communists. They are beyond socialism. They plan and are armed with a variety of weapons-guns and more. They direct the cover they need, by ordering any 'protesters' not involved in their group. They don't care if they get hurt or arrested, though so far the police haven't done much. They may be antifa or another group, but likely funded and armed by Soros affiliated sources. They really want the downfall of the US.

Young whites were the majority of Vietnam protesters back in the day. They didn't want to go war then. I'd say now, they don't want to go to work. Simplified? Yes, but I think it's the same entitled mentality that didn't want to fight then that doesn't want to go out and (fight)earn a living starting at the bottom like the rest of us.

But don't lose sight of the ball. They've been trained to think this way as Kathianne sorta mentions. The hardliners that intend to be on top in the end, who also don't want to work for what they can take, are filling these kids heads full of all sorts of BS that in reality will never be the outcome.

Yep, the antifa types loathe the bottom dwellers. Some of the Blacks are beginning to get that. Those that I was originally speaking of got it from the get go. 'They're using the bros and sistahs!' They are not being heard anymore than folks like ourselves.
