Great Horned Owl (hanging around couple of weeks in and around house)
Western Screech Owl (has been here since February and had a family here for awhile)
Bobcat (was inside fenced area drinking out of hot tub)
5 hummingbirds
3 coyotes
2 Roadrunners
3 Kestrel hawks
Bats
Nighthawks
Dead mouse in pool
Quail families
Desert wrens
Woodpeckers
Tons of Doves
Bunnies
Lizards - too many to count but 4-5 different kinds including horned toad kind
Tons of other birds I haven't identified
But, no snakes for couple of months (think the owls, roadrunners and hawk help with that)
Anyway, love where I live. I'm sure I would see more if it wasn't so hot and I could be outside more. We see most of these animals as they come up to watering stations we have around perimeter of property.
Other than the heat my thirteen year old son would love it there. He loves Nature as did I as a youth.
I remember living in Texas in Houston 1979 for about 6 months.
I actually moved away(back to my hometown) because of the HEAT and the crowds, as Houston during the oil boom had
about 35,000 people a month moving there. I hate winter and love hot weather but when it is too hot too long I abhor.
Your zoo seems to be loaded with semi- harmless creatures.
I am sure you enjoy it and are glad some visitors are taking care of the snakes! --Tyr
