    Default Kung Flu hits home

I just broke the record today, the earliest snowmachine trip here was New Year's Eve. Phenomenal freeze this year!

So, a bit of a back story: I was leaving for a job out in Glenallen, and Shar was arriving the next day.

We were both bummed; we hadn't seen each other in 7 weeks. She was caretaking an elderly friend of ours in Seattle.

I left, and she arrived, and then tested positive for Covid19. Fortunately our elderly friend is negative, so she picked that up in the airport or on the plane. No good deed goes unpunished, right?

So I finished my job but I can't go home. I sat in the driveway and talked... but honestly it's worse to be within reaching distance and yet keep 40' away.

I bought a bunch of UV lights that would embarrass a French Madam, dropped them off on the porch and they're blazing away in my house right now. And 6 bottles of virus-killing disinfectant along with normal foodstuffs.

Shar experienced a tightness in her chest for about 12 hours; other than that she's good.

So anyway, today I went to the cabin, shaving off 7 days of the previous record.

I don't have to be homeless!

I have a good sled, a cabin, whiskey, smokes, and 200 gallons of fuel. And internet.

    Screw it. Merry Christmas!

Oh no .... glad she's better but sad you guys can't be together. Get well soon Sharon .... too many places to go and too many people to see.

    Rick, stay out of trouble!

    She's doing fine. No worries.

What trouble? Are you saying no hookers and blow?

What kind of Christmas would that be??

Try hot chocolate and cookies for Santa and maybe he will send something your way. If not, you enjoy them!

I'm glad you're not working and you get some time off. Sorry you're alone for Christmas though.

Rick, spend your time on something wholesome! Like reading the Bible. Or knitting. Or writing love letters to your saint of a wife.

I’m so glad she’s doing so well.

It sounds like your exile will be rather awesome.

Wishing Sharon a speedy recovery and minimal symptoms. I'm sorry you have to be apart, but sure looks like you have a bit of snow at the cabin! Merry Christmas, hugs, and kisses to both of you!
