Changing National Anthem

This just shows how incredibly stupid these people are. Clyburn wants to change our national anthem to the Black national anthem to help promote unity! Unbelievable!

And with Dems in the majority it is entirely possible. I won't stand, I won't even kneel. I'll moon everyone while it plays. If I don't throw up first. This really, really pisses me off.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said this week he plans on introducing a measure to make “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” known as the "Black national anthem," the official U.S. hymn in an effort to promote unity.
The song, which celebrates resilience, was first written as a poem in 1899 by James Weldon Johnson, former leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). It was later set to music by his brother John Rosamond Johnson.
“To make it a national hymn, I think, would be an act of bringing the country together. It would say to people, ‘You aren’t singing a separate national anthem, you are singing the country’s national hymn,' ” Clyburn told USA Today. “The gesture itself would be an act of healing. Everybody can identify with that song.”

One of the major reasons I boycotted the NFL this year.

We have long had a national anthem already. The LAST thing we need is dual anthems to further divide our race in the country.

And even if some ultimately decided to get rid of our current anthem - which I disagree with - anything new must be just ONE and unified. You can't have one for each race and then somehow expect unity. Kinda like the democrats pushing for division for 4 years straight, only to instantly call for unity when Biden won.

That's what he wants to do Jim. Replace current anthem with black national anthem. It won't be called black national anthem. It'll be the American national arnhem. He says it'll bring more unity. He's tone deaf.

I haven’t looked this up yet, but isn’t it really a Christian hymn?
If so, seems the Godless Dems wouldn’t have it.
