Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) outlined three “essential items” that Senate Democrats are prioritizing moving forward, one of which is the second impeachment trial for former President Donald Trump.

“We have three essential items on our plate: Confirming President [Joe] Biden’s cabinet and key officials. Providing desperately needed COVID [Chinese coronavirus] relief. The second impeachment trial of Donald Trump,” Schumer outlined on Friday, promising that the Senate will “do all three”:

Other than Justice Roberts overseeing the senate during the trial, the SC cannot throw it out, it's not their ballpark here. Can't be appealed and not even to the SC. It's completely in the Senate's hands once it leaves the house and papers sent along. They will hold their lame trial and everyone introduce whatever evidence and then it's about speeches and getting votes. Then once that vote is made, I believe that is it and done.

** I am VERY VERY FAR from being the most knowledgeable about our senate or impeachments. I have questions in my own head that I long ago looked up and had answered. So I could be completely wrong, but I don't think so.

I think you're mostly right. The Senate would probably take votes along the way to decide if they even have the authority to do this among other questions. But I could be mostly wrong.

Republicans should NOT confirm ANY of President Butt-Head's nominations, not one, not any... they should just sit there with the middle finger extended.
