Presidents are not immune from prosecution. There is a thing called impeachment, don't know if you've heard. The standard is treason, bribery, and other crimes and misdemeanors. From the USC...
Article I Section 3
Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States: but the party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to indictment, trial, judgment and punishment, according to law.
Article II Section 4
The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors
Sitting presidents are not hauled before a court of law, but are tried in the Senate. So, the question I have for you is this... why didn't the president face impeachment over these sexual assault charges? They certainly meet the criteria of high crimes and misdemeanors. Instead, Trump was impeached over a phone call and for giving a speech. As an aside, why wasn't Justice Kavanaugh impeached over those sexual assault accusations?
It seems to me that the Left was throwing stuff at Trump and, whatever they succeeded at getting something to stick to him, they ran with it be it littering or genocide.
