First set of scumbags I have come across. You don't have to like the man, you don't have to smile, and hell, don't even have to offer condolences. You could do the right thing and offer solemn condolences. They choose disrespect the day the man dies. Like I said - true colors.

Believe these things until your heart is content. But absolutely no need to point things out and state things in such a manner the day he does and while his family and friends are coming to terms with his death and grieving.

As a non-listener F/T, I do agree. There's a reason he received his award, and the left would never agree due to viewpoints. But the man was 70 years old and spent 50 of those years on the radio. And he certainly did have an amazing way of getting across to people. He was also a TV icon at one point and don't forget also wrote many books and 2 best sellers. I don't need to have been a full time listener to know this.

Limbaugh had been battling lung cancer.

There was no pretend civility as the news broke and the left promptly exposed just how much bloodlust they have for the right.

Well, we all knew that this was coming... he was battling terminal cancer for a while now.

I was first exposed to him in the early 90's driving truck around south central AK, and since all the rig had was an AM radio, that's what I listened to.

I didn't know it at the time, but only having a crappy AM radio was a blessing because if I'd had the choice, I'd have been tuned in to a local FM rock station. So instead of listening to admittedly good tunes, instead I was thinking about important issues. Rush was really giving Clinton hell and it was glorious.

His parodies were absolute gold! Paul Shanklin, a conservative singer/songwriter parody artist who was very gifted at impersonations, got past the screeners and onto the show with Rush... took him a while to figure that out but instead of being pissed, he promoted him big-time. I can't remember if Shanklin was impersonating Clinton or Gore, but it was very convincing.

Seeing the ignorance of the left doesn't surprise me. Rush was never hateful or racist - and anyone who ever listened to him would know that. Scornful? Yes. But no hate. You had to do and say deserving things to earn his scorn, and liberals generally have a knack of providing such material on a daily basis.

Possibly the his largest shortcoming would have been his ego. He definitely had that, but I believe he exaggerated that to enrage his detractors. He reveled in tweaking disjointed liberal noses, and it made for great entertainment and turned himself into a lightning rod for liberal attacks for 3 decades - he was smarter than any of them and always made sure to bring on to his show any prominent lib for a debate.

And he always won. Every time. In spectacular fashion. And that made them hate him more. Trump knew this, and giving him the Medal on National TV was a masterful stroke that drove the moonbats into a blind rage.

RIP, Rush. You were a great American. Thank you for untold hours of educational entertainment and your service to America.

Sad news. A great voice voice in America. I thought of him during the 2021 Super Bowl, over the years he reflected on how advertisers would present their message and reach their target audience. I think the 2021 Super Bowl was the only time I’ve seen a Huggies commercial, yikes!
He started a national industry with talk radio many were able to follow his lead. His perspective on current events of the next few years will certainly be missed.
