Dr. Anthony Fauci One Year Ago: ‘People Should Not Be Walking Around with Masks’
Dr. Anthony Fauci - he serves as the Director of NIAID (allergy and infectious diseases) for the past 36 years, has worked in healthcare for 50+years now - and throughout this entire pandemic, prior until now - he has been referred to as "of the most trusted medical figures in the United States"
I'm ok with all of that, and this is the man I want answers from, to know what to do to best protect myself. Hell, he's been working with this crap for nearly 40 years, so he has got to know his shit!
So start with going to the link for this article and watching the embedded Twitter video in the story.
He is told there is a lot of confusion among people about wearing masks as well as misinformation going around.
His response is that "The masks are important for someone who is infected to prevent them from infecting someone else." Then he referred to places like China where everyone is wearing a mask. He said "Right now people in the United States should not be walking around with masks"
- Then he was asked "You're sure? Because people are listening really closely" - and Fauci continues "Right now people should not be wearing masks, there's no reason to be walking around with a mask. When you're in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask may make people "feel" a little bit better and it may even block A droplet, but it's NOT providing the perfect protection that people think that it is" - "And often, there are unintended consequences, people keep fiddling with them and they keep touching their face."
Ok, so - was this great doctor knowing what he was talking about? Having been around for so long, and working with infectious diseases, most would think so. So he stated that it's mainly to keep the infected from getting others sick, and even implied it may not even block all droplets. And that to an extent, it may make people feel better, but it is NOT providing perfect protection.
AND - we also heard from the surgeon general NOT to buy masks that they DO NOT work.
Then not much longer and we were slowly being told about all kinds of masks but not the good N95 and up as they are reserved for hospitals and the medical field. Then these masks got better and then mandates came out, and then even speak of doubling up on masks and maybe even 3 of them!!
But what about Fauci, and his original stance and knowledge on the masks? He later came out and more or less claimed he lied to us Americans, and it was due to shortages. But "claims" that they then started learning that the cloth masks were working and helping.
So wait, we are expected to believe that one of the best infectious disease doctors in the world had just learned now about whether cloth masks work? They have been around longer than damn true medical masks and above. So he claimed he was lying, and then we find out he was not knowledgeable about simple cloth masks?
Then at a point he was literally BEGGING people to wear masks. He supported mandates to wear them and is speaking of long term use of them.
So was he just lying to Americans as the leading authority? Clueless about cloth masks? Now the most informed about them?
Fact is and was - medical grade masks were known to work from day one. Cloth masks were known to help block SOMEWHAT and mainly what you may cough or sneeze out. They won't protect you from breathing it in though. We knew this, and I posted all that crap from day one.

The chief medical advisor to the president, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said masks were not necessary one year ago Monday. His advice was overridden by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) four weeks later.
“Right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks… There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask.”
The CDC called on Americans to wear masks as late as July 14, 2020, in a press release. “Americans are increasingly adopting the use of cloth face masks to slow the spread of COVID-19, and the latest science may convince even more to do so,” the statement read.
