3 Mass Shootings In Chicago Push Law Enforcement To Reach Out To The Public For Help

Police in Chicago have called on members of the community after a spree of violence. During a press conference on Thursday, Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown urged the public to help them identify suspects in three mass shootings that occurred in less than six hours.
Chicago police said there were five victims in the first incident on Wednesday night, including a 14-year-old boy who was reportedly shot in the head and later pronounced dead. A 16-year-old was also shot in the head and has remained in critical condition in a local hospital.
“We, police officers, need the community. We need the community to come forward,” expressed Supt. David Brown, Chicago Police Department. “We’re much more effective when the community speaks up and gives us information so we can be able to solve some of these violent crimes.”
Just ten minutes later, armed attackers opened fire on a group in a different part of the neighborhood and injured four teens and a 22-year-old. An 18-year-old was shot in the upper body and has been in critical condition, while the other victims were said to be in varying conditions in local hospitals.
The third incident of the night occurred when passengers of a car opened fire on a party bus, which injured eight people. Brown noted the dire consequences of those not willing to cooperate with law enforcement in the hunt for the suspects and insisted silence only helped the perpetrators.
“The offenders get more emboldened,” Brown explained. “They feel like they got away with something and they are encouraged to do it again.
Chicago Police Department’s Deputy Chief asked the community to step up their involvement.
“This is becoming an effort where we’re going to need an all hands on deck approach and that approach is going to involve our community,” Deputy Chief Ernest Cato stated. “Our community getting involved and saying what’s going on, our community who has cell phone pictures, who has Facebook information.”
Chicago Police said no arrests have yet been made in connection with any of the three shootings. The deadly night comes as Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the launch of a gun strike task force in five Democrat-led cities including Chicago on Thursday.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say these are black on black crimes. All they get is the Deputy Chief begging for help in a city where the Mayor wants to defund the police. Conspicuous by her absence in the plea for help, Lightfoot would be crying like a banshee if this was cop on black perp or white on black crime.
I'm really believing anymore the voters in blue cities are just flat stupid.
