After New York City announced this week that it will require proof of vaccination at many indoor businesses, the acting mayor of Boston said her city will not follow suit given that such requirements are reminiscent of “slavery” and birtherism.
Following New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s announcement that he will require proof of vaccination to enter indoor restaurants, entertainment venues and gyms beginning next month, acting Boston Mayor Kim Janey noted “there’s a long history” in the United States of people “needing to show their papers.”

“During slavery, post-slavery, as recent as, you know, what the immigrant population has to go through here, we’ve heard Trump with the birth certificate nonsense,” said Janey, the first woman and black Bostonian to serve as mayor.

So Dems believe these two things:

1. Everyone should be required to show vaccine documentation before they can go to work, to a restaurant, or to a gym.

2. It is racist to require anyone to show ID before they vote for President.

Are Dems living in some drug-induced haze? There must be some hallucinogen involved for any to believe both statements.

While the Supreme Court authorized the states to pass these laws mandating vaccinations, it was in no way required for the states to do so. Federal authority on vaccines only applies to situations of national concern, such as the quarantine of foreign disease and regulation between states.



As a result, states have varying rules to regulate vaccines. All 50 states require students to be vaccinated before starting school, and every state has an exemption for cases of medical conditions that would make vaccines risky, like an immune disorder or cancer. Most states have the option for parents to opt out for religious reasons, and about half of states broaden that exemption to personal or philosophical reasons.

I think the Dems will try, and have a better than likely chance of winning, having it mandated.

So, if you are a teacher at my daughter's school and you get COVID: If you are vaccinated and get COVID at work you get paid for time off. If you are unvaccinated, no pay for time off. I have no idea who's making that call. The chain of command for school teachers is out of my AE.

Was going to ask the same until I decided it was rhetorical. The left and its control issues. Always know what's best for everyone. They don't realize they are their own worst enemy when it comes to COVID vaccine. People are tired of them thinking for everyone else, telling everyone what's best for them, and otherwise trying to control every aspect of our lives.
