Default Setting boundaries on association with the vaxxed and or non-vaxxed

Here is an interesting story on associating with the vaxxed or non-vaxxed, or, IOW, setting boundaries. I think Anniston is a mediocre actress, but her decision to keep the non-vaxxed out of her social circles bears thought.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/...?ocid=BingNews

If family or friends are unable to vax for health reasons, I take that on individual concerns, and if their lifestyle would affect me: meaning, do they associate with the non-vaxxed regularly.

If they can but don't vax, I have discovered that I have radically reduced interaction with them.

This works for me, but maybe not for you. Why or why not?

I don't care? Nobody in my neighborhood wears masks and the people I know I still talk to and they talk to me. I have no idea who has and who has not been vaxxed outside our house. Nobody asks and nobody volunteers the info. We've mostly just said screw it.

The kids have to wear masks to school and so does my daughter and her students in defiance of Biden. Guess he'll have to sue.

I frequent several stores. The two where the employees wear masks, I wear mine. The couple that don't, I don't. Not about kissing ass nor anyone making me do a thing. It's about respecting the owners' Rights and the other customers' Rights in those establishments where they still wear them. I never wear one when I'm walking or running. Sort of defeats the whole "fresh air" thing. And breathing when running

If anyone chooses to not associate with me because I am or am not vaccinated, wearing a mask, or whatever else it is others would like to tell me to do, I really don't consider that the type person I give a sh*t about associating with anyway. No loss. .

Respect is the word I was looking for.

    Both sides act stupidly.

Some woman in a mask went off on a guy in Lowe's who was not, and the staff escorted her out to the parking lot and banned her for six months.

A guy at the grocery store without a mask went off on a female clerk who said nicely, "You have to mask here, and I have one for you if you want it." He yelled at her, grabbed her by the shoulders while screaming. He did not see the store associate coming up behind him. He put a choke hold on him, kicked his feet out from under him, then dropped him on the floor. The store manager then told the man not to get up because the police were on their way. With three big store associates around him, he decided to comply.

There is just no need for this, but this stupidity goes on all the time.

If I know who is who, I can avoid issues. I am vaxxed and will take the booster. But i have family and friends who can't vax, and I don't want to endanger them anymore than I have to.

The Golden Rule. It works. Seems to be extinct in this society anymore.

I have been more than sure I am asymptomatic. Just not sure enough to test the theory Hard for me to believe I was in and out of my daughter's room 20 times a day for 2 weeks while she had it and teflon saved me. What I have never seen a legit answer to, and doubt I will as it doesn't suit the narrative, is whether or not asymptomatic people can still be carriers or not. My ex was symptomatic to strep but she sure as Hell carried it and spread it around.

I have to visit my brother in an assisted living home. I'd bet half those people aren't vaccinated and I sure as Hell am not setting myself up as "that guy" that gets the whole freakin' place sick. Cuomo can keep that job.

It is to me about responsibility to community/others as well as myself.

You are dense, since it is common knowledge that those already stabbed can catch the dreaded Covid and also pass it on, why would one think they are better than the unstabbed individuals??
Deep or critical thinking just isnt in your shallow little playpen is it?
Apparently even mediocre thinking evades you too.. As you thinking you are some kind of genius, while parroting your usual bias and dem/lib/leftist propaganda.
Which is kinda fun to watch -just to see what kind of dumbass comment exhibiting a level of childish blathering, you are going to make next..-Tyr

This is why people post news stories ad infinitum. /\

I haven't seen anyone act like that. People around here are generally polite. Nobody asks anything. There's no telling what people are thinking.

    1. Does introduce a conundrum though. If I have a mask on out of courtesy for those around me, is that misinterpreted that I am:

    Not vaccinated.

    Scared to death.

    Government sheep cave-in artist

    2. So if I don't wear a mask, am I:

    vaccinated

    Rude and inconsiderate

    have a death wish

    stupid

I see and hear what others say, whether directed at me or not. Maybe I need just half a mask? Or I can wear one under my nose like I see a lot of people do

Seems to me people should quit minding other peoples' business and telling them what all they ought to be doing when they don't have a clue themselves. If you have an opinion and feel the need to express it, then realize everyone else has one too, might not agree with you, and feel the same need to express themselves.

Went to a couple of community meeting over the last week. Some people wore masks and some didn't. No one made a big deal one way or another. Everyone around here feel it's your choice.

Most physicians agree you can be completely asymptomatic and have Covid 19 and pass it on. Therein lies the issue. Now if you take the vaccine you can still get it and pass it on yes as well for that reason. Not everyone gets sick from it. Would you believe it the guy next door to me almost died from a heart attack, got Covid 19 and was never sick ever. His wife got it and was in bed two weeks run down. They are both mid sixties.

He would never have known he was sick if his wife wasn't diagnosed. Yes he had both his shots. Me Gunny I am playing it safe because I do not want to accidentally pass it to someone who could die from it. So I took my shots and play it safe but I do not wear a mask in the open but stay a good distance from people outside enough so they are not nervous. Its just politeness. I just don't want to be selfish and kill a kid or some old person...well older than me lol.
