If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.
Holy.
Being there does help one feel closer to God.
Here's where we stayed - power came from a small honda genny; water from a creek; food from the water. Just an incredible trip. Our outfitter, Dick Nipple, bent over backwards to ensure we had a wonderful time.

Thanks for the OP. Spent several years with the Charlie Manchus at Fort Wainwright. Bears were everywhere. My oldest daughter and I one morning at 2AM watched the beavers swimming about and working on their dam. We used manchu skis and ahkios in those days before the motorized sleds were introduced. A wonder world.
Thanks, again.
I too thoroughly enjoyed my time with Mr. and Mrs. D. Nipple.
As always, your photos are fan-freakin’-tastic.
